Work Responsibilities
As a daycare worker, you will do many simple but important tasks every day. These include:
- Plan and run child-care programs
- Help children grow in learning and behavior
- Tell stories and read books
- Teach songs and fun activities
- Help children with eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- Keep the daycare clean and safe
- Take care of daycare equipment
- Watch and record children’s progress
- Share updates with teachers or supervisors
- Join staff meetings and discuss children’s needs
